These poems are thoroughly enjoyable. I love their bite-sized nature and the fact that many are full of humorous life lessons. The line drawings are a fun addition!

THE BITS LEFT BEHIND is wonderful and charming and prodding and the illustrations add a wonderful dimension. I read it all at once because I couldn't not!

This is a wonderful and thought-provoking book of poetry. Sue turns her thoughts into words and her words into art. These poems are raw, emotional and sometimes funny and the illustrations by Nikki Snyder beautifully compliment the text. Sue puts words to the struggles, questions, and comedies that exist in all of us.

This was a lovely book of poetry that was relatable and beautiful. It felt like a friend writing to me. It was like something we all had been going through now had a voice. Highly recommend.

Reading Sue Ridgewell's very special book of poetry is like spending an illuminating hour with a part of yourself that longs to be heard. Sue takes you into the simple, day-to-day activities of life, but instead leads you down an absorbing path to self-discovery - seeing 'faces' in everything, trying to do good, dealing with the upside-down nature of the world, reality, broken promises, freedom of speech, mature love - there is a humanity, delicacy and humor in her poems that leave you wanting more. Her very personal work touches us all.

Poignant, heartbreaking, whimsical, amusing and oh so human, THE BITS LEFT BEHIND is a collection worth reading slowly... and then again and again. Sue Ridgewell has captured so many emotionally relatable moments in such beautiful, often succinct words. What poetry should be....You soul can chew on this book....
